Well it certainly has been awhile!!
The past three weeks have been so unbelievably overwhelming it is so nice to have this down time for what seems like the first time in eternity.
I recently transitioned into a new job and it has been 360 degree difference from my previous company. I used to have set projects, long-term or day, that I would work on; now I have a lot of reading and prep work for my campaign to come. I used to drive 30 minutes to work, be there by 7:30 and leave by 4:30. Now I only have to drive 15 minutes (YES!) and I am in by 8:30 and out by 5--or so I thought. After work we have been either meeting with different committees or working on a Phone-A-Thon. Which brings me to my next point...
Normally everyone is annoyed by telemarketers/fundraisers but I have to admit I had talked to a lot of really nice people. I was a little nervous at first about asking people for money for this fund because lately people have been quite opposed to many things. Despite possible differences in opinion people for the most part have been so friendly and when they could not give to the fund they explained nicely and move on. People always say you know how to act once you have been on the other side (I think everyone should either work in retail or be a restaurant server/bartender at some point in their life to learn a little respect) and I now will make it a point to answer the phone for fundraisers even if it is only to tell them I wont be donating. Being nice truly goes a lot farther than many people think.
This weekend we will be using up BFs birthday gift from Try It Racing where he will be in the driver's seat of an authentic race car to drive 15 laps and then ride 5 laps with a professional driver. I am not one for race cars but he loves it so it will be a great experience for both of us! Pictures to come! Before we go I plan on laying out at the pool all day! Time to get bronze before we head to Florida for Summer vacation!!

Hoppy Easter Every Bunny :)
Hi All!!
Hoppy Easter!! I hope that everyone had an amazing weekend. Being Catholic I obviously appreciate this holiday for more than just the baskets and seersucker! But that's not to say that I don't love all the treats and fun that come with it.
We went to our local parish downtown (thanks to Mumsie and Dad for coming down here) and then we headed over to Little Italy to Ciao Bella for an Easter brunch and we had an amazing time. We were literally the first ones at the restaurant promptly at 12! We had one on one service with the bar manager who was not only knowledgeable but friendly and funny! My parents were eating that up! The food was off the charts- which I think around here is a lot to say with Italian, because there are so many amazing Italian restaurants on every block. We had great drinks and food which made our Easter that much better.
We will be heading back to Ciao Bella for my parents' anniversary and I can't wait because I know we will have an amazing time!
After our brunch we headed over to spend time with BF's family for some dessert, which I have been waiting patiently for 40 days!! I certainly made up for it today: with cake and candy and about a whole bag of jelly bellys :)
I am so fortunate for my family and friends and the wonderful town we live it! I hope everyone else was able to have an amazing Easter with their families and friends!

Spring Fever- Maryland Pink and Green Giveaway!!!
Good Morning All!
As I become more settled in the blog world I see giveaways just about everyday. I normally don't bother because 1. I have terrible luck at winning and 2. I'm usually running a muck so I never have time to do all the steps to win the prize! But this time I'm making TIME!
Bethany over at Maryland Pink and Green is hosting a giveaway for one of the most fabulous spring pieces I have seen yet- the Monogrammed Derby Hat from Marley Lilly. I just started following Marley Lilly about six months ago and I am in love with just about everything. They have a wide variety of things (aka pretty much every single thing you could ever want Monogrammed) and their prices are perfect for an "out of college yuppie" like myself.
Now I hope everyone heads over to her blog to check it out BUT I really hope that she chooses me. I mean there are two events next Saturday alone that this hat would be perfect for-- Hunt Cup or the famous croquet match between Navy and St. Johns in Annapolis and then we have Preakness just around the corner. Bethany choose me, I promise to take tons of pictures!!
Best of luck everyone and Happy Spring!!!

Blustery Blog Day
It is a Blustery Day in Baltimore everyone!!
Since it has rained enough to fill about a million Olympic sized pools I am staying under the covers watching Lifetime. Last night we celebrated my good friend leaving for Colorado at Asahi Sushi in Fells Point. It is a BYOB sushi place which I think is awesome because it is cheap and delicious!
We made our way to some of the bars in downtown Fells and had a great night! It was nice to hang out with my group of friends from college because despite the fact that we live close we all have busy lives so it is such a treat to see them. This morning I went to breakfast with my friend from NJ and her parents which was really good but unfortunately we picked a bad day to be outside. As of right now there is quite the storm brewing...hence being inside and writing on a Saturday.
I am now just waiting for BF to get home from NYC so we can hang out and relax.
I will make sure to take cover in all of this rain!

One Door Closes... Another One Opens!!
Happy Sunday All!
I think I love April! Most people think... um April? there is so much rain why would you ever like that. You are spot on... but with the rain comes the warmer weather us "Baltimoreans" have been waiting for!! After a frigid winter season I am ready for some sun, boats, dresses and sandals!
I think another reason that I love April so much is the fact that in the past 10 days SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED!
Last weekend I headed up to NYC for our tradeshow and Mumsie came along as a traveling partner, which was really nice. We stayed at the Paramount Hotel in Times Square which was right in between Times Square and Hell's Kitchen (an area in NYC with TONS of restaurants- for those who have never visited). We ate at BECCO an amazing authentic Italian restaurant with a famous all you can eat pasta dinner and the next night we went to Sangria 46 for Tapas! NYC has some of the best food in the world (in my opinion) my parents are former NYCers so Mumsie was super nostalgic! ...If you are heading to NYC anytime soon, let me know I'll shoot over some great suggestions.
We also made sure that we made a stop over at the Lilly Pulitzer Madison store and then at the Junior League of NYC headquarters, which is located in the historic Astor building.
On Saturday my brother was nice enough to help me volunteer for the BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter) at their Easter fundraising table at a local dog park! He even woke up early after a night of dancing at his girlfriend's prom, what a great guy!!

This week was also particularly excited because:
1. I got a great new job!!! I currently work in Marketing and was hoping to transition into fundraising and when the opportunity presented itself I decided I would take it! I will definitely miss my boss because she is probably one of the smartest and most amazing people I've ever met but it was time to move forward.
2. My best best friend bought a house and got engaged all in one day!! YIPPEEE! Congratulations to Megan and Josh!

Interested in volunteering or donating?? Head to their website!!
Thanks for being a great sport little brother!!
Talk about sensory overload! It really has been an amazing month and it's only the 10th!!
Hope everyone is having an amazing month!

March Wrap Up
Afternoon Everyone!!
Due to the severe lack of blogging you can tell that March was no ordinary boring month. It went so fast my head spun!! I like to think of this blog as something I can 1. use to keep my memories 2. remind me what I actually do with my life :). So here is my March wrap up (courtesy of my trusty sidekick- Lilly planner):
March began with our Junior League Event which I blogged about a couple times- Kids in the Kitchen- overall it was really fun and I think the kids had a good time as well. That same weekend I went to my first Tastefully Simple Party, which was really fun. You know you are definitely a yuppie woman when (1. any excuse for a get together is excuse enough and 2. you love quick and easy cooking "enhancers") you step into these parties! I bought a couple different things a beerbread mixture, a strawberry ball dip mix and The Trio- a packet of three different types of dips, perfect for parties.

I have yet to try anything, but I am sure there will be an occasion soon!
The next two weekends were spent celebrating my favorite saint- St. Patrick!! We celebrated in Federal Hill and in my neighborhood- Canton. Canton is known for it's Irish festivities, we have entire square dedicated to the Irish- O'Donnell Square. Check out some fun pictures! As much as I love being Irish I think I was definitely tuckered out after two weeks of celebrating!
At Mother's in Federal Hill!
You can't see but I promise I had green pants on!!
This was the first nice day in FOREVER! Chose to bring out my "green" Lilly skirt
This past weekend I was able to cross something off my life bucket list: Atlantic City!
My good friend turned the big 2-5 on Saturday so she wanted to try something new (new for all of us actually!) Baltimore is about three hours away from AC so we packed up our things and headed to the "Boardwalk Empire". Now I am a huge fan of the show so I was super pumped to get there but as I suspected it was not really my cup of tea :(. I don't know how to play card games so us girls just played the penny slots (I won $50 by the way- paying for my share of the hotel!) and everyone smoked which drove my allergies up the wall! It was a wonderful time hanging out with my girlfriends...although next time I'm suggesting somewhere tropical!
First time on the slots
Just realized we are sitting infront of a Yankees poster...ICK!!! Go Sox!
Even though it wasn't my scene I really did have fun and I'm proud of myself for trying something new! Next stop...VEGAS!
Finally last but not least... it was Fabulous BFs birthday on Tuesday... sadly he is so swamped at work he couldn't even enjoy it! We did get to celebrate on Sunday night by going to our absolute favorite sushi place- Sushi Hanna. If you are ever in Baltimore I highly recommend the rolls are HUGE and delicious! It is BF and my goal to try all the different sushi places around Baltimore- Sushi Hanna still takes the cake!
I hope that everyone's March was fun and fabulous! I am really just waiting for spring to happen! Come on warm weather! It's time for some SEERSUCKER!

Baltimore Boutique Sale and Tea!!
Good Morning All,
I am sorry for the lack of posts. One wonders where time really does go?? I promise to do a month's recap soon. But I really wanted to get this out there because there are two events that I think are super fun and work for a great cause!
The first is the Junior League of Baltimore's Boutique Warehouse Sales hosted FRIDAY-SUNDAY in Timonium, MD. Come enjoy many of Baltimore's top boutiques at slashed prices... I do believe there were a pair of Hunter boots I've got my eye on! If you can make it on Friday, join us at the Baltimore Style Magazine sponsored Preview Party. For $20 you can get in for first picks of all the great merchandise. For more information on this event or joining the Juniore League of Baltimore head over to their website (yup that was the advertising girl in me, coming out!)
Next is a wonderful event hosted by Ellen Allen Annapolis for the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore. The Spring Tea will be held on Sunday April 10th from 3-5 at the RMH HQ in Baltimore.
Hope to see you all there!!

Calm and Quiet Weekend
Good Evening Everyone!
This weekend was such a nice treat! I relaxed and hung around with no plans all weekend! I think it is definitely what I needed after busy busy weekends and some really busy weekends to come!
Thursday night we had our reinstated girls night! My roommate had been out of town so we had a hiatus but we had everyone over for her return. It was really nice to see everyone and have a wonderful dinner with good friends.
While at dinner I got a phone call from BF saying that he won a weekend trip to Williamsburg Plantation! We were overjoyed to hear this because we never win anything! He was at a car show that the Williamsburg Plantation was sponsoring and he entered into their contest and won! We will be going soon! I have never been before but I would love to hear any ideas of things to do!
We spent our Friday relaxing, first Mexican dinner at Miguels in Silo Point and then back to my place for movies. Saturday I was up and early for the Junior League's Kids in the Kitchen event. It went really well and I think the kids had a really wonderful time! Here is a picture of the kids with Poe, the Baltimore Raven.
It was nice to meet them and hear about the things they like to do! I spent Saturday night in with BF and my parent's pup Fenway eating Chinese and watching movies.
This weekend was much needed as it looks like March is already full with fun events!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

March Madness!!
Good Morning Everyone!!
It's finally March, which means it is just that much closer to Spring! February was a short month especially when you have each weekend filled to the brim with activities!!
Last weekend we celebrated a friend's Birthday by forcing ourselves out of our normal neighborhood bubble and tried dinner and drinks in a new part of town. For all of those who are not familiar with Baltimore it is quite the interesting place. You have your Big 3 neighborhoods (Federal Hill, Fell's Point and Canton) and then you have other smaller neighborhoods with character! We decided to visit Mt. Vernon home to America's first monument to George Washington! Mt. Vernon is known for its cultural district, filled with stretches of restaurants from all different backgrounds. We decided on Waterstone Bar and Grille which was extremely accommodating to our party of 15. They even gave us bottles of champagne for free along with a piece of cake and a $50 gift card to the birthday girl!! We then headed on to Mick O'Sheas, an Irish pub, where we danced to the live band and had wonderful drinks!
All in all it was really a wonderful weekend but two days of partying really leave a girl with some exhaustion. I can't remember how we got the strength to do the tailgaits and parties and bars without collapsing! Is this a sign that at 23 I am old??
This weekend will be TONS of fun. Friday BF and I are going on a wonderful date... that for once I am not planning anything (coming from a compulsive planner this has been a task). I will report back where we end up!
Saturday the Junior League of Baltimore will host KIDS IN THE KITCHEN! It is an initiative to get kids to live a healthier lifestyle, through eating right and exercising! I will be taking a group of inner city kids and showing them around to all the different stations. I acted as a Group leader last year and had a lot of fun and it really makes me feel happy to work with kids truly in my community not just raising money and handing it off. I have really enjoyed my time so far in the Junior League and am excited for the upcoming year!

Friday Fun Favors!!
Happy Friday Everyone!!
I thought I would throw out some neat things I've found this week...
1. MCC Design Giveaway!
Nautical By Nature had this giveaway on her blog and I went to the MCC Etsy Shop shop only to find amazing and wonderful things! Everything from note pads to business cards! I'll probably be scooping up some personalized stationary. I find that as an adult, personalized stationary is a must have.
2. JustFabulous
I can't remember how I stumbled upon this but the JustFabulous website is really fun! From my understanding you take a fashion "personality" test to determine your sense of fashion and every so often stylists from the site will send you options of shoes/bags/etc and everything $39.99 free shipping! I haven't quite got a hang of it, if anyone has used it let me know!
3. Dry Bar
I was reading through the Monograms and Manicures blog (which I like a lot because she's lived overseas and loves Lilly and all things pink, just like myself) and I saw there is a cool hair studio in TX called Dry Bar it is a genious place with a $35 blow out! No cuts, no colors just blow dry! What a concept! I wish there was one closer to me!!
4. Navy vs. St John's Croquet Match
Now I can't say this is a "new" find because I had heard about it a long time ago but I just saw something on Twitter about it yesterday. On April 30th Navy will take on the St. John's "Johnnies" in a croquet match held in Annapolis, MD. To be honest I don't know much about croquet except for when we play with my family and that never seems to be serious! Any excuse to dress like I'm going to Mr. Gatsby's home and have fabulous fun in the Spring is enough for me!

Run Run Run!
Good Afternoon All!
Well I'm sad to report that the 75 degree weather from Friday did not stick. Huge bummer...I woke up to that evil white blanket all over our street and my car. I mean really Mother Nature...we're over it! I got my arm work out in this morning while shoveling our part of the street (in Baltimore it's like unwritten law that you must shovel your block and if you don't people give your house dirty looks, and trust me you don't want nasty looks from Baltimore folk).
I'm even more upset because my plans for running a 5K are becoming harder and harder. These little legs need practice and the snow is not helping!! I've been doing 3-3.5 miles on the treadmill but it's just so different outside...and by different I mean more difficult! I actually detest running but it's good exercise and I've never run a race 1. because I stink at running 2. I'm borderline unathletic (I did have my HS stint in field hockey but that was so long ago) 3. I get nervous running around "real running people" you know the kind that wear heart monitors and check their watches when they start. I mean what are you really looking at?? Anyways I have to force myself to do it because April is just around the corner and I am planning to run the Port to Fort downtown and the Billy Korrow Run at my brother's high school!
I really need some new running shoes so if anyone has any recommendations I would really appreciate it. Right now I have Asics Gels and I really like them and have held up for a year! I like the Under Armour shoes a lot but I'm not sure if they are that great? Let me know what you think!

I really need some new running shoes so if anyone has any recommendations I would really appreciate it. Right now I have Asics Gels and I really like them and have held up for a year! I like the Under Armour shoes a lot but I'm not sure if they are that great? Let me know what you think!

7 Things to Know About Me!
Thanks to my first commenter and the sweet gem Miss Southern Prep for tagging me in this. The rules of the "game" are: write 7 things about yourself, tag others to pass it on and tag back to whoever tagged you! So there are all the obvious things that we all love, you know: Lilly, pearls, Seersucker, puppies...the list could go on. I'll try to pick 7 things you may not know right off the bat:
1. I have lived in three countries: Philippines, Africa and USA. I love traveling so much and hope
I have the opportunity to do some in my work and personal lives.
2. I sleep with my door closed...it is an absolutely MUST! I'm not sure what or why it is but I can't fall asleep unless that door is completely closed. Strange...maybe??
3. I am obsessed with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, the Rat pack...that era of music...Michael Buble has a special place in my heart. He puts on one of the best concerts I've ever seen, it is worth the money, trust me!
Not to mention he is easy on the eyes, ladies!!
4. My favorite place in the world is my beach house in Amelia Island. When we were young, my family
would spend the entire summer in AIP and then come back to Maryland when school
started. I hope to give my kids the same lifestyle, it was very relaxing and rejuvinating to have the three months away. It is my true "home" since my parents moved from our childhood home to their new house.
5. There are two things in my life which I feel have shaped the person I am. 1. Attending Mount de Sales Academy for high school and joining Zeta Tau Alpha at Salisbury. People laugh about going
to an all-girls school but it was the best experience of my life. I am still best friends with
all of my friends from high school. The school itself was challenging but opened a lot of doors for me as a
young woman. As for ZTA, I couldn't ask for a more amazing experience. Throughout college
I met hundreds of wonderful people. The girls I have met have pushed my buttons while at the same time
been a shoulder to cry on. I would not have it any other way!
One of the highest points in Baltimore.
Love, the greatest of all things.
6. I am allergic to everything furry...but that certainly does not stop me from holding and petting
every pup I see on the street. It's a cross I have to bear but with the help of my
faithful allergist (yup...allergist) I get by. I am super allergic to winter mold, I am extremely happy to
report that I have made it through the toughest part of the winter minimally scathed.
7. I love routines and have a "keep it on track" attitude. I have yet to decide if this is a good thing
or a bad thing. I like my routines because it really does keep me on track. But at the same time
I am trying to make the most of my life so it's ok to veer a little bit. I've dedicated this year
to new beginnings in whatever that may be!
Hope you all enjoyed! It's nice picking those things out and sharing them, it helps to remember why I am the way I am!
Tagging You!

Valentine's Day Fun!
Hello All!!
What a weekend it has been! It is go go go all the time..even when we are relaxing.
On Friday, BF and I celebrated our Valentine's Day in with homemade sushi!! As you can see from my previous posts sushi may be my favorite food. I went to Whole Foods and picked up tuna and salmon, avocado and cucumber, and sushi rice and seaweed. It was actually really easy to make! I seared the sides of the salmon for a couple seconds on each side just to make sure there were no germies! The "fish guru" at Whole Foods told me although it wasn't sushi-grade searing the tops was all that was needed to make sure it was ok to eat! Here is a picture of our dinner!
What does everyone think? Classic silver or trendy white? ...or both!!
I would love to know if anyone has any stores that they would recommend for great customer service. As someone in Marketing I love to give credit to those who work hard to make everyone's experiences wonderful!
I ended my wonderful weekend going with my friend Grace and her two minnies to Disney Princesses on Ice! It was absolutely amazing, Disney really knows how to do it! Check out this picture I took at the end of the show!

On Saturday we spent our day doing errands. I want to give credit to two of my favorite places for their absolutely excellent customer service. First my little Tory Burch Revas had some freying on the sides I took them back to Nordstroms and immediately without question the shoe gentleman ran to the back and got me a brand new pair! Next we headed down to Burberry because my handbag had some tiny holes where the leather hit the little "feet". After looking over the purse they gave me a BRAND NEW BAG!!! I couldn't believe it! Anyone in Maryland I really recommend the Towsontown Burberry, they are nothing but lovely and really want to gain and keep their customers!! Now I've got my eyes on these little numbers:

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend and have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Holy Cramole It's February!!
Hello Darlings!
Can you believe it is February?! I mean I could have sworn I was just ringing in the new year and celebrating my 23rd! Well with that being said we are moving swiftly on to Spring and I am a-ok with that! Baltimore has escaped (knock on wood) any big snowstorms... we did have one, which my poor little SAAB fearlessly drove through to get to work... I felt like I was on Rockin' Roller Coaster at Disney driving down our little road to the office...

Great job little car!
The snow soon melted away and we are back to normal and life has moved on. We celebrated my Dad's birthday with an amazing lunch at Jesse Wong's Asean Bistro. It isn't our usual sushi spot but I got my parents a gift card as part of their Christmas gift and what better way to spend it than on sushi!! They had some left over on the card so they got a Peking Duck. What's a Peking Duck you ask?
Peking Duck, or Peking Roast Duck is a famous duck dish from Beijing that has been prepared since the imperial era, and is now considered one of China's national foods
Our spread
Dad with all his favorite foods!
That birthday was a lot of fun. The restaurant gave us a little private room so we didn't need to worry about noise around us! Dad got to open his gifts and had a great time! I got him an IPAD Keyboard which will help him to not ruin his screen while typing.
Overall January was a crazy but enjoyable month!

Life is Funny
Hello All!
This past week has been a roller coaster of emotions! It always seems to be one thing after another after another. But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger...right??
But that's ok! It is Friday night and I am doing NOTHING and I love it! I plan on watching TLC and relaxing...is it official that I am old??
Tomorrow I am going with my best girlfriend/best roommate :) to her college's Bull and Oyster Roast and I am ready to have tons of fun with good friends...I mean who cares if it's not my Alma Mater!! I just hope no one realizes that even though I frequented their campus during our undergrad I actually didn't attend... somewhat like this...
That movie never gets old...Mean Girls for all of those who don't have every single line memorized!
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! I will make sure to post fun pictures of the night

New Years Eve
I thought I should share some photos from our amazing night in Washington DC!
BFs fraternity brother is lucky to have an English basement in a beautiful luxury home on N.Capitol Street. I know I mentioned a little about it in my last post! The family who lives there is absolutely wonderful and we rang in the new year with amazing views and met some really great new people!

Our host!!
Hello 2011!!
Hi Everyone!
2011 is here and I have a feeling that it is going to be a really good year. The past year has been great but it is time to move forward and the new year may be exactly the thing to step it up!
We rang in the new year by spending a ski week in Utah and making it home to Maryland just in time to head to DC!
I celebrated my 23rd birthday with my Family and BF and the splendid airline crew. Not my ideal birthday but hey I can be flexible!
Utah was the best time ever. Unfortunately Mumsie got sick so she couldn't go so I had to go it alone with the boys! We stayed at the most beautiful little home right off of the slopes.. literally! We skied four of our six days there and it was, as my brother would say... "the ultimate pow". I don't know about all that but I know that it was some of the most beautiful scenery that I have ever seen. Photos below!
We spent new years with BFs friend in DC in a fabulous home on N. Capitol St. The master bedroom opens to a breathtaking view on the capitol building. (Clearly I have had a week of breathtaking views) We all cheered and rang in the new years and then celebrated all night. Unfortunately my little pink camera didn't make it past 12:01am when it was dropped on the lens. RIP little pink camera.
I am now off to celebrate my birthday dinner with one of my close girl friends who I haven't seen since LAST YEAR..haha
