Lilly Update!!

As everyone probably already knows Lilly Pulitzer was bought yesterday by Oxford Industries Inc. When i heard this I had a small freak out! What was going to happen? Would things stay the same? I was especially nervous because after visiting the sale this past November I was really surprised at that lack of lines in the morning. Although Mumsie and I did get our tickets the day before, check them out....

After several hours of Googling everything possible about OI I think it's going to be ok! Lilly's website, Lilly Facebook page and other Lilly loving blogs seem to think that life will go on as usual...aka the sale will still continue, Pink Palace will stay in KOP and they might even bring back some old styles! I want the Lilly quality we all know to stay the same... please don't become flimsy like so many other "formerly great" brands!!!

Oxford put this video on their website and I thought it was a great overview for Lilly lovers new and old!! Enjoy!!

It's the Holiday Season

Hello All!!

So terribly sorry that the last time I wrote was at Thanksgiving!! The month of December has flown by!! Between playing frogger through the mall parking lot and turning my room into Santa's workshop there has been no time for any blogging.

Work is "wrapping" (yup.. Christmas joke) up, and we will be closed from tomorrow until the new year yiippee!! The family and Fabulous bf will be jet setting to Park City, UT for our skiing holiday. Right now I believe there is an 82 inch base according to the  Ski Utah Website!! HELLO POWDER!!

If that isn't gorgeous I don't know what is!!

I'm super excited the BF gets to come with us this year he works so hard and deserves to relax!! I know that my brother will love someone to board with at 100mph down the hill. Definitely not my style... me and Mumsie and Dad will take our time and enjoy runs that are actually longer than the chairlift... yes that was a jab at east coast skiing. Not to down the east coast runs but when you've been skiing west coast and European slopes your whole life  it is so hard to take those little runs seriously. Although I will take any suggestions for new places we are definitely looking at Whistler, British Columbia for next year.

On another note the year is coming to a close and it is crazy to think that come May my "little" (I wouldn't call 6'2 little by any means) will graduate high school and it will be two years out of college for me! I know he is still waiting on his college acceptance letters. I obviously would love for him to attend my alma mater Salisbury University but he is definitely all over the map in his search! Best of luck to you little brudder xoxo

I hope that everyone enjoys their Holiday season with friends and family. We all have to much to be thankful for and remember to give back anytime you get a chance! That present you are going to return for something else you probably wont use... how about donating it?!?

I'll leave you with a video of my favorite man (besides BF/Dad/Brother) singing one my favorite Christmas tunes!

Early Weekend

Hello All,

I am more than ecstatic because today is my Friday! The day flew by especially because the "marketing department", aka me and my Boss, got some fabulous news, which is hush hush for now! :)

Tomorrow will be a fabulous day of sleeping in until eight and visiting the gym for Fast Track! My gym, Merritt Athletic Club, offers this great program from 6am until 11am weekday mornings where you can come and have personal training for FREE. Yup, free!! I plan on running for 30/40 minutes and then having a 30 minute session with one of the trainers! Hopefully it will be heart pumping, because I am making it a personal goal to seriously get back in shape. It is just so tough forcing yourself to go and workout after working 9 hours, but a girls gotta do what she needs to do to be fabulous! I have heard a lot about P90X, this is probably for advanced fitness "students" (definitely not me) but I am interested in this? Anyone have suggestions? Here is the P90X Official Site it seems really intimidating!!

After my hardcore morning I will be treating myself to a facial and hair cut at Domani Studio in Bel Air! I was lucky to scoop up the $77 Domani Studio massage, facial, hair cut  GROUPON! I had to reschedule the massage because Domani was so overbooked because of the success of their Groupon. I will definitely be cashing that in soon! My day will end with a fabulous Girls Night Dinner at our home, what a way to end the week!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Holiday Fever!

Happy Holidays!

I hope that everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday! I surely enjoyed all involved with this holiday. As is Baltimore tradition, the night before Thanksgiving was packed with anyone who went to a greater Baltimore area private school! Fabulous boyfriend and I decided to forgo the gigantic high school reunion and met up with a couple friends at a restaurant down the street from my parents. Not that we don't love to see people we haven't spoken to in years (or maybe even in high school) but we had an early morning on Thursday and it would have never been an early night.

6am came as my family sprung into Thanksgiving action. Most of the food was prepared either by Mumsie and I or by the Amish market. My mother is obsessed with any food that comes from the Amish, and I have to agree it is always amazing.

We got dressed and headed off to Turkey Bowl, the ultimate private school rivalry! Loyola Blakefield Dons took on the Calvert Hall College Cardinals (both of which I cheered for, seeing as family is Loyola and BF is CHC alum) at Raven's stadium downtown for the 91st annual game. Calvert Hall crushed the Dons and took home not only the Turkey Bowl trophy, but also the IAAM High school Championship.
View from our seats at Turkey Bowl!
After turkey bowl was over we rushed home to prepare our last minute food items. Our menu included: turkey, potatoes, squash, green beans, stuffed mushrooms, cranberry sauce, gravy, rolls and stuffing. Needless to say we had a ton of leftovers. BF and I then went to his aunt's for dessert and drinks. It was an absolutely fabulous holiday with family and friends.

I hope that everyone was able to be with their family and friends.

And we're off!!

Good Morning All!

I have just begun my journey as a blogger. As an avid member of the marketing community I am long overdue for this. After reading my fair share of other blogs I decided to embark on this fabulous journey. I can already tell I am going to need to stop by Barnes and Nobles to pick up "Blogging for Dummies" so I can make sure this blog keeps up with all the other fantastic blogs out there.

I find it ironic that I start my blog around Thanksgiving and the holidays, I suppose it is because there is no time like the present and the extra couple days off will help to figure this all out. I am also thankful that we live in a country that allows us to blog and post whatever we feel no matter the circumstances. For that we should all be thankful!

That is all for now, I look forward to learning more and connecting with those blogs I read everyday!

Tata,

Miss J
